Weariness during our faith walk doesn’t only affect our actions, it can affect our spiritual relationship with Christ as well. When one becomes weary they start to lose interest in doing the work it takes to get their blessing. Did you know that accepting your weariness stops God from giving you the blessing you were working towards? The reason is that you are showing God that you do not trust his process. How are we able to combat weariness? Many verses in the bible refer to weariness and what God wants us to do to continue working toward our blessing.

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”
Galatians 6:9 NIV
God’s instruction: We must remain motivated when we become weary. Listening to prayers, sermons, devotionals, and worship music can help us during this time of weariness.
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”
Philippians 4:6 NIV
God’s instruction: Continued communication with God is always necessary to prevent us from committing to actions because of our list of interests to continue our tasks to reach our blessing.

“Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.”
James 1:2-3 NIV
God’s instruction: Look at your circumstances from all angles, not just the discouraging ones. Remain content during your trials because you know you will receive experience with your blessing. This will prepare you for future trials you will face.
“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.”
Jeremiah 29:13 NIV
God’s instruction: During times of tiredness and unmotivated seek God with all of your heart. He is always waiting for us to come before him.

“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.”
Luke 18:1 NIV
God’s instruction: Prayer is how we communicate with God through Jesus and this should be our first response in any situation. Reading the stories in the Bible can help us remain positive and to continue forward through our trials.
“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love, and self-discipline.”
2 Timothy 1:7 NIV
God’s instruction: When we are afraid to keep moving forward we must remember that God gives us power, love from him and from our communities, as well as awareness of our actions to do what we believe is right.

“And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.”
Hebrews 11:6 NIV
God’s instruction: Faith without works is dead. We can always believe God can give us something we’re praying for. However, if we aren’t doing any action toward our prayer request. Then our hope is all God is seeing from us. Build your faith through actions like prayer and finding ways to put your faith to work.
Praying, reading the Bible, and having fellowship among other believers can help us to fight weariness. “I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33 NIV
Awesome! I’m encouraged and have a new determination to pray through being weary! I want the blessings of God for myself, my family, my church family, my friends, my brothers and sisters in Christ throughout the globe! I see me following these steps to surrender to Christ when weary and to do what it takes to see my vision come to pass! Hallelujah! Amen!
